The Best Low Carb Bread For Your Health And Fitness

As the cliche says, too much of everything is bad. I have once read a book which says that eating a lot of carbohydrates can make us fat.

High carbohydrate foods can be harmful to those who cannot tolerate large amounts of it, especially to those who have diabetes.

However, we still need them in our diet, so what can we do to make sure that a right amount of them is all we get.

If you are a bread lover, you need not sacrifice your craving as I will share with you some low carb bread that will surely tickle your taste buds without compromising your health.

1. Oopsie rolls

These rolls do not only contain almost zero carbs, but they are also popular because they are very easy to prepare. Mind you; you may get addicted to it once you learn how to make it.


4 1/4 oz. of cream cheese

3 eggs

one pinch of salt

1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

1/2 tablespoon of ground psyllium husk powder


1. Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites, and put them in separate bowls as well.

2. Add salt while whipping the egg whites until they become very stiff. Make sure that the egg whites do not move when you turn the bowl or container over.

3. Combine cream cheese and the egg yolks, and mix them well. You can also try adding psyllium seed husk and baking powder which gives your Oopsie a more bread-like texture and appearance.

4. Fold your egg whites gently into your egg yolk mix. Make sure that you keep the air in the egg whites.

5. On a paper-lined baking tray, put six large Oopsies, or 8 tiny Oopsies.

6. Bake it in the middle of your even at 150°C (300 °F) for about 25-30 minutes, or until they become golden.

If you do not like the eggy taste of egg, but want something that has a soft texture, then this bread is what I recommend. The recipe in doing this bread is very simple, and you will make use of ingredients I am pretty sure you already have at home.


1/2 cup of melted butter

two tablespoons of coconut oil

7 eggs

one teaspoon of baking powder

2 cups of almond flour

1/2 teaspoon of Xanthium gum

1/2 teaspoon of salt.


1. Preheat your oven to 180 °C (355°F).

2. In a bowl, put your eggs and beat them for 1 to 2 minutes on high.

3. Add melted butter and coconut oil while beating continuously.

4. Add your other ingredients to make it quite thick.

5. Line the loaf pan with baking paper, and scrape your mixture into it afterward.

6. Bake the mixture for about 45 minutes. Remove once you see a skewer in the middle comes out clean.

As a tip, you can sprinkle seeds on the bread before popping it into your oven. I suggest you also add some herbs and salt flakes to make it even tastier.

3. Easy Cheesy Garlic Bread

This mouthwatering bread has caught my interest because it is gluten-free and it has carbs of less than 4g per serving. The ingredients may be a lot, but you will surely enjoy this bread because of its taste which tickles your tastes buds as it melts in your mouth while its smell wafts throughout your house.


For the bread base:

1 1/4 cup of almond flour

1 Tablespoon of coconut flour

three egg whites which you need to beat until it becomes fluffy

2 Tablespoons of avocado or olive oil

1/4 cup of warm water.

1/4 teaspoon of salt

one teaspoon of yeast granules

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese (shredded)

two teaspoons of baking powder

1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder

For the toppings:

1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning

1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder

2 Tablespoon of melted butter

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.


1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

2. Mix coconut flour, almond, garlic powder, baking powder, xanthan gum, and salt in a large bowl, and stir them well.

3. In a separate bowl, mix water and sugar until it dissolves before adding yeast. Let it rest for few minutes.

4. Add the yeast-water mixture and olive oil to your flour mixture.Stir well using a rubber spatula before adding your beaten eggs. Continue mixing.

5. Add your 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella. Using a spatula, mix until you form a good dough. Make sure to mix the cheese thoroughly.

6.Grease a large cookie sheet or 9 x 9 square pancake. Put butter into a cookie sheet or cake pan. Form the dough loosely into a square or rectangle if you want to free-form on a cookie sheet.

7. For about 15 minutes, bake at 400 degrees. Make sure the sides of the crust become golden brown before you remove and top.

8. Mix salt, garlic powder, and butter in a small bowl. Combine thoroughly, and brush over the top of your garlic bread base.

9. Top your bread with shredded mozzarella cheese before sprinkling with Italian seasoning.

10. For about 10 minutes, bake at 400 degrees. Make sure the cheese melts completely. Turn on the broiler for browning the cheese for around 3 minutes.

11. Remove and let it stand for 5-10 minutes before you serve it. The process of preparing it may take a longer time; it will surely be worth it especially when you have gluten intolerance and want bread that is very low in carbs.
